Massebegravelse

Massebegravelse i Bodø i forbindelse med D/S Prinsesse Ragnhilds forlis 23.10.1940

DS «Prinsesse Ragnhild» forliste på Landegodefjorden utenfor Bodø. Sannsynligvis gikk skipet på en mine, og dette medførte at Styrbord side midtskips ble fullstendig revet opp. Båten hadde langt flere personer ombord enn hva den var sertifisert for, og antall døde ble derfor svært høy. Rundt 300 mennesker mistet livet etter at båten sank på ca. 5 minutter.
