Lazarettschiff Birka

01.07.1943 sank BIRKA, vest av Sørøya, etter å ha gått i et minefelt lagt av den russiske ubåten L-22 den 26.05.1943. 115 personer mistet livet.

On 1st June 1943, BIRKA was sunk by a mine from a minefield laid by the Soviet submarine L-22 on 26 May 1943. 115 on board were killed
