 Inf020510-060.jpgLasarettskipet Stuttgart420 viewsOpprinnelig et passasjerksip tilhørende Norddeutschen Lloyd i Bremen. Skipet ble sjøsatt 29. mars 1923, og opererte New York linja. Fra 1930 hadde det også en del trafikk i det fjerne Østen. i 1938 ble det satt inn i KdF fart. (Kraft durch Freude) I 1939 opererte det som transportskip av forskyninger og soldater til Spania, og ble 23. august 1939 satt inn som Lasarettskip. (Hospitalskip) 9. oktober 1943 ble det angrepet av allierte fly i Gothenhafen, og sank. Størstedelen av paisentene ombord døde.
